Words are what make me tick. Story-telling, and the artful use of speech to communicate with impact and clarity, have been the driving force in my career.

My background is in acting, and everything I teach is underpinned by the rigorous training I received at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). In combination with my Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Drama from the University of Bristol, I have a depth of knowledge of the English language and literature, and how this translates to the spoken word.

As a performer, I have used my voice to tell stories on stage and screen, to bring characters to life in BAFTA award winning video games, and to voiceover major advertising campaigns and corporate projects for big brands such as Magnum, Apple, Vodafone, Alpro and Audi.

I am the voice of a widely-used virtual assistant and as such have one of the UK’s most recognisable voices. Recording for this process required a very high degree of attention to detail, as well as a keen awareness of pronunciation and expression within the structure of Standard Southern British English.

Whilst acting on stage and speaking into a microphone are two different artforms, the same skill is at their core: clear, confident and compelling speech. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and techniques to help others unlock their speech potential.
